DC Studios has released the official trailer for Clayface, giving fans the first look at a darker and more terrifying take on one of Gotham’s most fascinating villains. Directed by James Watkins, the upcoming horror thriller explores the tragic transformation of Matt Hagen, the man who becomes the legendary Clayface.
With the tagline "Meet the new face of Gotham," the film promises a gripping story of ambition, identity, revenge, and the terrifying consequences of trying to reclaim a lost life.
A Tragic Transformation Into Gotham’s Villain
Clayface follows Matt Hagen, a young man from Gotham who rises from humble beginnings to become a successful Hollywood actor. However, his dreams are shattered when an encounter with a local crime boss leaves him severely disfigured and abandoned by those around him.
Desperate to restore his former appearance, Matt turns to an advanced experimental treatment that miraculously transforms him back. But the procedure comes with unexpected consequences, affecting his mind and pushing him toward a dangerous path of revenge.
As his obsession grows, Matt’s search for redemption turns into a battle with his own identity, leading to the birth of one of Gotham’s most unpredictable villains.
