Disney’s Hexed Trailer Released: New Animated Witch Adventure Set for November 2026 Theatrical Release
Disney has officially unveiled the first trailer and poster for Hexed, an all-new animated fantasy adventure from Walt Disney Animation Studios. Scheduled to arrive exclusively in theaters on November 25, 2026, the film marks Disney Animation’s 65th animated feature and introduces audiences to a magical coming-of-age story set in a world of witches, secrets, and self-discovery.
The newly released trailer follows Billie, an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl voiced by Hailee Steinfeld. Her ordinary suburban life takes an unexpected turn when she accidentally unleashes mysterious magical powers. The incident transports her to Hexe, a hidden magical realm filled with wonder, danger, and enchantment.
In this extraordinary world, Billie encounters magical companions including Ms. Quill, an enchanted feather pen voiced by seven-time Emmy Award winner Tracey Ullman, and Elias Quire, a mystical journal voiced by acclaimed actor Stephen Fry. As Billie explores the magical kingdom, she begins to uncover hidden truths about her family and discovers secrets that could reshape the future of witches forever.
Rashida Jones voices Alice, Billie’s cautious mother, whose relationship with her daughter plays a central role in the story. The trailer highlights themes of identity, belonging, and personal growth, positioning Hexed as a heartfelt adventure for audiences of all ages.
Director Fawn Veerasunthorn described Billie as someone who has always felt out of place in her own life. According to the filmmakers, her journey into the magical world of Hexe allows her to better understand herself and embrace who she truly is. Co-director Jason Hand added that Hexe is a place where Billie finally feels seen, leading her on a transformative path of self-discovery.
Hexed is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, with Josie Trinidad serving as co-director. The film is produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino under the banner of Walt Disney Animation Studios, the legendary studio behind beloved animated classics including Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Lion King, Frozen, Moana, Encanto, and Zootopia 2.
